On what do you set your sights? Do you look through an eternal lens?

Heart Training’s vision is ‘Hiding God’s Word in the hearts of believers and Placing God’s Word in the hands of the persecuted.’

God’s Word opens our eyes and hearts to know God, who Jesus is, and who we can be in him. As we read and meditate on his truths, God will show us what he wants us to know for this time in our lives. His words strengthen us and our faith in him.

The Iranian Bible recipients, through the Heart Training books, hunger and thirst for God’s truths. Even as believers at risk of severe persecution, they want the Word of God in their hands so they can grow in knowledge, courage, and hope. They memorize scriptures to keep their hearts nourished and their minds ready to stand for Christ in obedience; they prepare for the risk of having their copy of God’s Word taken from them.

Each week in our own Heart Training studies, we pray for the Bible recipient to be impacted by God’s truths. We wield the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) on behalf of our brother or sister in Christ.

Let’s pray right now using Ephesians 6:13-18:

Mighty God, we bring before you our persecuted brothers and sisters. Thank you for the armor that you, the omnipotent God, provide them. In the midst of their spiritual attacks, strengthen them as they take their stand against evil. Equip them with your truth and righteousness and guide them as they share the gospel. Deepen their faith, knowing they are secure in you and seeing your words of truth shred the devil’s lies. Protect them by your angels and may you, God, be glorified in their lives.
