What a privilege to be part of God’s growing family, planted across the world and unified by salvation through Jesus Christ. “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all” (Ephesians 4:4-6 NIV). As believers united in Christ, we can bring before the Lord our brothers and sisters, both near and far, as they grow in their faith. For those who live the reality of suffering in the name of Christ, our prayers usher in strength and encouragement through the Spirit. Amidst their hardships, our persecuted spiritual family members demonstrate living for our heavenly Father, committed to Jesus, worshiping him through a life of obedience. They offer us the example of standing in confidence on the Rock, the only firm foundation of hope.
Let’s pray for our spiritual family members:
Heavenly Father, thank you for being faithful, never leaving us alone. You also want your children to be united, so we bring before you our brothers and sisters in Christ as they grow in their faith following Jesus. As they read the truths in your Word, give them understanding. As they remain in you, ripen the fruit of your Spirit in their lives. As they fight evil, equip them with your spiritual armor. Thank you for these blessings you lavish on your family.
